The bridge connects both places and people. It is useful in transporting goods which contributes largely to the economic growth. Without a doubt, a bridge is an important infrastructure.
The bridge is a picture of our Lord Jesus Christ. Between man and God, there is a separation because of sin and much more because God is holy. In his holiness, He hates sins. Sins mean transgressions of the law. God will one day judge us in his perfect righteousness. His perfect righteousness calls for guilty sinners to be punished and that just punishment will be hell. But God in His grace and mercy, provided a way of escape. Jesus Christ was without sin, fully God and fully human, He took the penalty of our sins upon the cross, the penalty that we righteously deserved. He rose again on the third day, forever defeating death, sin and hell. Jesus said that He is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. (John 14:6) Now, we all have our propositions but the Lord Jesus Christ gives no room for any possible speculations. Salvation from the wrath of God, which is hell is only through repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Each one has a decision to make in this life. I have decided to put my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. What is stopping you to do that which is right? Which sin is it that you deem worthy of losing your soul? www.needGod.com for more

This is the day that the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it! Psalm 118:24
As i read through the pages of my notes in the morning today, two things are crystal clear. One is that memories don't last forever! Second is that, the only time i have is now! But one thing is always certain for all ages, Lamentations 3 22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. This morning I read through my notes and i am reminded of the Lord's constant and steadfast love and faithfulness. The recent one was during our long vacation in my homeland. It was impressed in my heart to reach out to my relatives and share with them the gospel. One day, we planned a day trip with some of the closest family and friends. That morning, I got cough attacks which made us decide to cancel the plan. Instead of going out for the entire day, we stayed home. Unbeknownst to me, that day a group of my relatives has planned to visit us. They arrived in the afternoon! In the morning, my aunt and cousin came. In the afternoon, there were 9 of them who came, 7 are adults. By the grace of God, i was able to get through with them some of the 10 commandments, the bad news and the good news without being interrupted with my cough. The kind of cough that i had was something that would attack when I do a lot of talking. It was a miracle that not even once did I was interrupted as I shared the good news of salvation to them. I praise God for His grace, for the opportunity, for the words that He puts on my lips, for the good news of salvation in Christ Jesus! |
